Okay so hmm I tried out the new GoW3 demo and its the same as before Seriously, to whoever is hyped by GoW, do yourself a favor and give Bayonetta a try (on 360). It's like a hundred times better. Granted I only played the GoW3 demo and not the full game, but it feels soooo stiff compared to La Bayonette.
Models look good....I like that you put the ingame shots in the demo...you could probly consolidate the demo and your models on one page...although I don't think it is that big of a deal... I wouldn't stress too much maybe show some flats and wires too P.S. I loved you in Legend
From my notes at work, its about solutions for these kind of things Most of these build on Flash as the main animation package and then enable a bridge to bring it into the engine / platform. Just at Soap alone we have like 3 solutions from us Game devs everyone coming up with something that doesn't really exist yet on the…
Hey, I teach a Photoshop class for the Game Art and Design program at VanArts. I also graduated from the program 3 years ago. I'll give you the most honest feedback I can (regarding VanArts). It's a one year full time program (30 hours of week of classes). Each term is 3 months and there are 4 terms in the year. Term 1 is…
Most likely Intel chips. I'm pretty sure that Intel is developing chips dedicated to these types of technology. There's even a demo at my local Best Buy. I didn't have a chance to try it but it's basically AR. I don't think the demo at Best Buy was for MS but for Intel's new type of chips processing this type of…
I had the pleasure of working on this game, was good fun, and its great to see all the awesome feedback from the demo. I was the main artist on the demo level for 6 months , so feel free to give any thoughts. Im looking forward to release so i can post some of my work up. :D
i like the mushroom town...very clean. I don't know if this has been mentioned this but as far as i can tell demo reels aren't the main focus...stills are quicker and preferred....you might want to make your stills the home page and have your demo reel as the second tab....could be wrong though
I have a few cinematics that i'm putting into a demo reel. These cinematics are AVI's from Unreal. Issue is they are 5-10gb because of the 1080 HD quality. I'm putting these into After Effects to create the demo reel, but i'm wondering is there a way to grab those AVI's and compress them without losing the quality. I've…
So since i'm teaching myself how to model through a lot of online programs and what not since i can't afford a regular college for this subject i figured i should start getting my demo reel started. However i'm trying to think of some good things to make for it and came here hoping i would get some inspiration or ideas…
As far as the demo reel goes, you could easily cut the length of it down by a bit. Anything over 2.5 minutes has to be INCREDIBLE to hold my attention, and its not even my job to look at a ton of demo reels every day. I think the last mana scene is your best work, so I would show that first.
