That picture fucking hurts my soul. I was excited when I heard about the 'Big Four' Tour going on, with Megadeth and Metallica on the same stage, but not so much when I remember what Armani Hetfield has turned out the last decade and a half.
Been in Austin Texas for about an hour and a half now... 4 hours delayed. (3 hours in Dallas due to not enough flight crew) Yep, Rogue is at Sony. So, I shall ask again, anyone in the Austin area up for a brew or two friday or saturday?
1024px/meter on an environment rock is pretty nuts imho. Is it a hero asset? You could use UDIMs, but I would suggest to go with a single 4k map and bump the visual res with moss decals and painting small foliage on top.
Sorry for the delay this week. It was a holiday yesterday. This weeks theme. Sit down! On a chair. flop over onto a couch. collapse in exhaustion. Whatever your poison, go from standing to not. Click HERE for tips on how to share your work. Or try your hand at using Sketchfab!!!
I am trying to connect a (mi_car_paint_phen_x_passes) to a (Blinn) in Maya 2013. I was going to use a layered shader, but whenever I try to connect the CarPaint it opens the connection editor. I and trying to but a Blinn over the Carpaint, to add a decal to my car model. Thanks
Progress Update 7: I had play around with the lighting to make it more atmospheric. Also I started to add decals on walls, added some spline cables on the floor and police line to create more story drama into the scene.
In max, planes would be easiest for posters. It will flicker if it exactly matches the wall's face. Just offset it by the tiniest amount and it will be fine. If you are taking the scene into an engine, there might be a better solution. In UDK, I might make it a decal instead of a plane.
Finished the sculpt and did some texture experiments. Diffuse Map is: base colors + AO (multiply) + NormalGreenChannel (overlay & modified) + some minor tweaks (and copy pasted moon decals^^). I think that's a good start and I will work on from this.
It's lacking a sense of weight. The animation doesn't seem to match the model. I can't imagine a big mechanical man running like that. Try delaying the passing pose to add a stronger sense that the legs have a much heavier weight to lift.
Well, 4R8 will be free. And it promises useful features, not just incremental updates and bug fixes. I haven`t seen any other software developer which doesn`t charge for upgrades for so many years (decades in fact).
