That was actually pretty good! Easy to follow... it's good to hear Racer talk as he's doing them without speeding through things like the UI/shortcuts. One thing I didn't quite catch is around 6:55 he starts getting rid of edges by seemingly merging adjacent polys.. how is he doing that? -
Re: Fringe.
I thought it was merely ok. I just hope they have a little bit of REAL fringe science (cutting edge or purely theoretical stuff) not, as that character says, pseudo science (which is not the same thing). I just get the feeling its going to devolve into hunts for Sasquatch, and evil secret agents with kooky super powers. -
Re: max file sizes
Unhide everything, unfreeze everything, see if there's any other data. How heavy are the modifier stacks? If you have multiple Edit Poly or Edit Mesh modifiers, they balloon file size since each one stores the entire mesh. Also try resetting, then merging in the items you want. Sometimes this clears out hidden data. -

Hi Jake, besides anatomy as stated before, you could improve your habits with pencil. The difficulty to nail correct shapes are partly to the way you 'construct' your drawings. I presume (from lines) you start from one end of figure and work your way to the other, but it's almost impossible to get correct proportions like… -

something that i used to do when i used to draw/paint was to take parts i liked of differents characters costumes and merge them together, of course i changed bits of the designs like shapes, ornaments, colors etc... so it wasnt just an copy and paste, of course in the end i had to do more changes because of shape appeal,… -
Mudbox paint not painting full UV space
I've googled this issue with not much success. I'm painting with x mirrored and Mudbox decides that it can't fully paint the seam in a couple spots for some reason. I thought maybe a hole in the mesh but I've checked if the middle vertices are merged in the model and they are. In fact Mudbox would tell me if there was… -
