Not 100% sure what you guys are saying, but using the photoshop channel exporter was making work on the skin 50% more effective and easy (and even fun) till I realised the pallets were shifting and causing artefacts on all of my layers. Oglu, when you say projecting, do you mean using a stencil? Neox, Yes I am projecting…
Despite the risk of more disagreement, I hope I can inform you a little. [ QUOTE ] Oxy: ... so I was trying to show (for those that did) that ego wasn't the Hubris that got the people they mentioned fired. It was the lack of knowledge. Anyhow, I was trying to help by showing the flaw in such thinking as its counter…
Great thread. Lots of good stuff in here. I'm a Maya user just starting to learn Max 2010. Looks like I'll invest the $50 in Switcher. That SteeringWheel is driving me mad. Just a couple of concerns after reading through the thread: I'm a big fan of snapping and the grid in Maya. What exactly are the limitations of…
1st iam717 https://polycount.com/discussion/237071/brawl2-character-r-m-iam717#latest Its a hilarious mashup, love it! A lot of thought process went into it as shown by wips. I particularly loved the small details like portal animation, dice with punching gloves and 'pain' written on Kuato. It also shows nice UV layout and…
just use multiple hulls like each side of your current one, would be a box shaped collision hull. it wont work like your expecting, since collision hulls must be convex, and also must be solid.
You must just have your high poly edges too sharp? I couldn't tell what problem you were having at first. If it's just that the normals are not strong enough for you, try beveling or rounding the edges. And I see what Scruples was saying now, he was just agreeing about edges being too sharp. Can we see the high poly as…

Congrats on the green card and relocation to NYC! Must be an exciting, if nerve wracking time (I've always wanted to live there for awhile at least). Formal education (certs and degrees) really only help if you need it for a green card (which you have) or working in higher education as a teacher. So then, finding a job…
I finally went to see it! I just thought people were being bitchy about the entire films story but after seeing it i unfortunately have to agree with a lot of the things said here. This movie felt to me like a VFX Showcase. Ask a 10 year old boy what is awesome and about everything he mentions is in this movie. I couldn't…
No, I believe the issue is that the OP just doesn't have a clue how it works. I was in a similar situation when I started out. I just wanted work, but I had no idea how the hiring works. So I couldn't figure out what exactly is the right thing to do. Fortunately now you have places like Polycount, where the hiring people…
