Aw his eyes are so pretty *_* Design is great, hair lost a bit of volume but it still works fine imo. As for the colors maybe try with one color only parts? Like in your B&W concept the shoulders pad and the leg plates don't have a lot of different shades in them, but in your colored version they do and it works less.

I think E / F look the best and the hair of B & E/F are the best :) and for the weapon I'd go with A cuz a weapons/swords shouldnt be fluffy (if I remember correctly tarics has no fluff either?) I dont think alpha channel works correctly. Looks like the R G and B channel works. I started to make Pix too but it's not looking good enough to post it yet :B I might increase the contrast a bit, I'm afraid some parts aren't highlighted enough and it might not be very readable from afar ^^'.
