What do you mean by "normals weirdness" ? I've had some elements come in with faces flipped before. Often any smoothing group errors (hard/soft edges, normals etc) disappear when you convert to EPoly right after import. Usually running Unlock Normals and Freeze Transformations on your objects right before export from Maya… -

Yeah, the preferred method is to attach particles to the camera, I'm just worried that without soft particle shading it will look crappy when it intersects the ground or other geometry. the reason for this has been stated before, and the same problem is there in all 3d packages, if you disable face smoothing. You can view your mesh with face smoothing on in ZB by setting DSmooth in Tools\Display Properties to 1, and then turn off Quick from the Transform menue, but as said before, this wont affect your… -

@silver_shadow: Sorry there's no bone or smooth skinning support in Modo, yet. For Modo to render out smooth skinned character animations you need to rig/animate in another app then export an .mdd file which stores vertex transformation data for each frame, not rig/bone data.
