I transferred my Maya scene into Max 2012 because of its viewport preview capabilities - I like the cast shadows - but the textures - when you zoom out look blurry and when you zoom in they are fine...does anyone know how to fix this?
I switch to perpective when i zoom out, and to ortho when i zoom in with U and P. I do it so often that i don't pay attention anymore, but yeah, one more workaround because of an annoying "feature".
Ya, all of mine were zoomed way out too, but it was easy to tell with my plane that the camera controls were working properly. I'd say add zoom controls to the right & left triggers, and call it good. Nicely done!
That is very common with telephoto zooms, just because it has a lot of reach doesn't actually mean it has a lot of range. Now, if you think of a common super-zoom lens like a 18-200mm lens, that has over 10x zoom. Actually, your sample photo is a pretty good example of what would commonly be considered poor bokeh.…
#435634 zooming in gets slower and slower as you work to the point where you can only zoom untill your model fills the viewport. #3214763294 the camera finds a new focal point, that is nowhere near your model, for no apparent reason.
BarnabyJones. Yes Brink whas a big insperation. therefore they have kick ass guns :D It will not be a eotech sight becouse, in our game there will be no zoom on the weapons. and the player will freakout if there is a eotech attachede and you cant zoom with it.
Yep, MMB pans but scroll mouse zooms incremental. I'm talking about smooth zoom. Still haven't worked out the problem. I've changed mouse and keyboard, so it must be software or driver related
Hy! Better if use MMB+Ctrl+Alt to zoom. I know this is not a good answer but still work. Recently I bought a cheap gamer mouse (~30$) and configure the extra buttons to Pan/Zoom/Scroll.
I'm having trouble with my wireframes. The character is wearing armor but it shows the wireframe of the body underneath when I fit the entire character on the screen. When I zoom in it displays properly but I have to zoom way in.
Very nice changes. Reminder : don't forget to reset your browser's zoom level. Mine was at 90% because of the old layout. I thought the new one was too tiny... until I reset the zoom. B)
