well the cheeky soft post processing probably doesn't help that, but I hear you. I was constantly trying to get the right read on the stamped metal. I think the only real difference is I'm talking about it in terms of materials, ie: X pixel is A material and Y pixel is B material, while you're talking specifically about a certain effect. From my point of view, firstly decide whether this piece is purely decorative or votive. In other words the former could belong anywhere indoors or out but typically if the latter, then most often an object of devotion will reside in a purpose built covered shrine which generally determines what level of patina, to apply.… -
