I post again because i've seen that ndo does this too. When I launch the "Photo Normal presets" it create a folder in the same path with "BaseMaterial [Normal].psd" and a previewer folder. How to change this ?
Cyph3r, I don't have 1.8 installed right now but go to installation folder, on Windows it's usually something like C:/Users/Public/Quixel There will be an uninstaller, use it and then delete Quixel folder manually.
You can put that file in your Scenes Folder (that's where I had mine). It will be loaded automatically on every startup. (Don't know if it has to be Scenes...I heard it can be anywhere in the Max Folder(s))
I've got a Python script that throws everything in my Ref folders onto an HTML page, sorted by folders. Python is not the kind of language most hosts have installed so I guess that doesn't count.
If you share a folder on dropbox any saves or updates to any files inside that folder with be updated for anyone that uses them. Also a program named tortoise SVN is alot like dropbox but intigrates directly with windows. Hope this helps
Thanks a lot. I now see what the problem was. There was no Objects folder in the game folder. So I just assumed that it would be the Editor/objects in the SDK version. So I just created the map myself and now it works.
All work/play files are in work folders on other hard drives. All majorly used programs are shortcuts on ObjectDock. A few shortcuts to my major Maya, Photoshop and Zbrush folders on the desktop might be a good idea though...
This happened to me a while ago. Im pretty sure I trashed a folder. Dont remember which. To stop this sort of thing I drag a copy of the last successfully opened project outside the folder structure as a backup.
Try clearing the lightmass swarm cache. It solves oddities like this sometimes. Either by clearing the contenst of the swarmcache folder in your UDK/bin folder or inside the swarm coordinator utility that pops up when building lighting.
that does not look like a maya project... have you created one..? File --> set Project File --> Project window --> Accept this should create in that location a lot of folders... your maya file should be in the scenes folder...
