I have a question about cut object to half in Inventor. How can do that like this: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_z2WSzaCaq8o/ShmfRNMfclI/AAAAAAAAAsw/rn3fLH8i3o4/s1600-h/Step+5.jpg
Hello, I am making a city scene in Unity and so far I have some trees next to a sidewalk. The shadows from the trees bakes flawlessly onto the sidewalk, yet they wont bake on to the road. Both models are static objects with the cast and receive shadows options checked. Any clue?
so yeah i have a complex object which is basically a vehicle interior, and im trying to bake AO for it but it just comes out like 90% black... anyone have any good techniques for this? im using 3ds max and rendering with scanline (RTT)
So I was wondering about these corner pieces that are inverted to have a negative space. I heard UDK doesn't really do shapes with cut outs inside it, as it will just fill up the mesh collision. I was wondering is there a method of making collision with such objects. So for this piece I would want a UCX in order to have…
Hi guys, Does anybody know if there is a way to show an object's name in maya viewport(selected\unselected), and specifically for locators only ? Thanks in advance for any tip ;)
hey thanks mark, I meant it as more of a general question for objects that have a lot of verts/polys on the inside that are inside the object and not really affecting the outside geometry. I don't want to limit the answer to this one object but for a simple rope, I took a cylinder and duplicated it 4x overlapping inside…
Thanks for the replies! ^^ @danr: There should be more games on the DS like GTA CW! It's technically excellent, and I remember that shadows were almost impeccable. Having them work correctly via coding it's quite difficult, and I'm sure that the coder of the Software House I'm working with is way too lazy to try that...…
Is there any way to get an object to cast shadows with SSAO differently than the rest of the scene? It seems like it should be possible with layers but I haven't been able to figure out how to do it. Basically, I want a stronger shadow under the car, but not elsewhere. Image:
