Hello guys, I would have put this out sooner if it wasn't for my accident. I wanted to do a Bruce Wayne character to challenge myself because the unique challenges it brought. (Hair, clothes, etc.) I did a lot more BvS stuff, all can be found here. Feedback is welcome. :)
Been looking for references, trying to to find medium sized buildings with the flat roofs and the stair entrance to the top. I want quite dodgy looking buildings with dark alleys, like something you would see out of batman. Been looking on Google maps but cant find what I want so far.
I go back to page 4 where I find MAYBE one thread that is not game industry specific or of relevant interests to game industry people (i.e. movies, books, etc), and it's about the batman shooting. I think people make too big a deal about it all. Anyways. Let's not derail this thread.
I'd been looking forward to this since I first heard about it, and seeing it live and in person at the GDC Polycount meetup cemented it as one of my most highly-anticipated media releases this year alongside Guild Wars 2 and Batman. Good to see it's coming soon; I'm certain everybody on Polycount is going to love it.
I really wanted to like it, trailer looked epic, but unfortunately I felt the story never really gelled, and there were gaping plot holes everywhere. The only plot point I really liked was that Mystique started out in the good camp. I also liked Magneto, he could play a good Batman.
CrackRockSteady, thank you for the reply. I have many references from Doom4 and Batman: Arkham Knight (zeppelins interiors), but I don`t want this corridor to have similar looking. Unfortunately, I don`t have a goal idea of what I want to get, so I am experimenting and messing with this.
If you used a similar method to what they used in arkham asylum game for Batmans cape. They used a rig for key poses and used cloth to blend between them. For your situation you could have it start at the open posethen when the box lands have a small animation to tilt it, then use physics to do the rest.
To add more to the WiR discussion. What about the most pointless death of all the male heroes? Jason Tod being beat to death by Joker with a tire iron. They killed Batman's only sidekick to make the story-line more interesting and it involved a male victim. Note I realize this is probably more of an exception to the rule.
I agree with what others said. I am not a character artist but if female batman is your latest work you are getting better. Just keep sculpting characters and applying for jobs. It's not easy to get a character gig because everyone wants to do it. You have the talent just keep PRACTICING GO GO GO!
Great Galloping Godiva Batman! Why reinvent the wheel when it's been done so well already? Seriously though, if you need footage of chicks riding horses (albeit clothed) you might try searching the footage libs for "equestrian." I think I listed footage web sites in the reference sticky thread.
