Looks really good, I like the colors in it. I think you could up the value range a bit on the diffuse though, the frog has more whites on his belly and blacks on his back then you put in. If you convert your texture and reference photo to black and white you will see what I mean. -

UE4 also comes with a material function to automate this. It will take a diffuse and specular map and convert it to be used with unreal's PBR system. However, it's hidden by default. You can find it here: - Turn on "show engine content" in your content browser view settings - Brose to… -

Thanks for the feedback, WarrenM. Would it be possible for you to do like a level-adjustment in Photoshop so I get a better idea of what you mean? My screen may be relatively bright so I don't see that much black at all =/ Or maybe I'm missunderstanding ^^ I'll play around with diffuse boost and bounce lighting! -

Experiment. Think about it logically. The spec map on that example is very noisy. Use a noisy photo overlay and give it a shot. Add color to your spec map to add variety. Try things out! :) You could use the leather diffuse as a base for your spec map, then modify/adjust it to get the result you want. -

Naima, i bought this tutorial a whileback and never got into it. I finally decided to give it a roll. My only critic so far is that the author uses BodyPaint 3D in the beginning which i don't own. But nevertheless, this teach you some useful ways you can setup a diffuse texture on a vehicle with good results. -

Lavitz - Thanks, she was inspired by Amalia from the Wakfu show I started painting the diffuse. A few concerns though, the mesh has issues, some I like, some I don't. The nose I prefer in the 3D version. I will just make it a little wider, but the eyes are way to anime for my taste, needs to be reworked. -
Re: Partial transparent geo in Maya????
For me it happens when you use a PNG as a diffuse. At times Maya will attach transparency to the material making it turn out really weird. Removing the node in the hypershade fixes it for me. Why it shows it differently in different angles, I don't know. But when I see that I know Maya attached a transparency node again. -

so now i have the final version of the stone wall for you with Diffuse, Normal and spec. Im happy with the result and i think its looking very fine. In the next step i will add this wall in my tree sene. After that i will make some more branches. so i hope you like it peace
