Here ya go: http://www.dissidentlogic.com/sgfx/data/orb.zip I've been planning on writing a Max Script & general frontend for it for awhile now. Maybe someday I'll get to it.
Not sure. If it isn't sarcasm then I would think that the Spore team should probably deliver something a bit more than a hacked, scripted presentation before getting too cocky.
I'm pretty sure there's an MD3 Exporter script floating around online somewhere. AFAIK it works with Max 2008, since maxscript tends to be way more portable than plugins.
I thought it was pps? Being 'post-post script' or some other nonsense? Postscriptscript doesn't make any sense at all. (Sorry, don't have any cat pictures. )
Houdini has it's own scripting language. And several different modes of processing data. It has way more depth than substance designer. But it's designed as a general purpose 3d tool unlike substance which has a focus on texturing.
I find myself having to constantly resize objects, whether it's models from other artists, or just mismatched units. I developed this modifier over the past year that has become indispensable for me, so I'm releasing it for free on Scriptspot in case others find it useful in their work as well. Just released a simple script for extruding selected open border edges while maintaining mesh topological curvature. Here's a brief video of how it works: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ILz7YNDtxAg You can get it here: https://gumroad.com/l/HetZV

If you feel burned out on art, maybe try doing to opposite; pick up a programming language. Knowing how to write scripts/tools for art apps and engines is certainly a worthwhile skill to have. :)
Hey there. Is it possible in 3ds max to simulate the Silo's multiple (paint-like) selection. May be there's a script for this? Here's what I mean: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=D1iSKFOL6wU#t=31s p.s. Why there're polycount.com and dev.polycount.com? What's the difference?
