I'm wondering about modding now, can a developer ship a game, and include some of the UE4 scene files to allow people to download UE4 and start modding or making custom levels?
First update on the animation. I wanted to have a run that showed Nasus' canine half while still including his humanoid form. Please leave feedback if you have any!
Well, this also includes Character/Prop animated Turntable. But I suppose we can just use Youtube. Bandwidth though. Same reason we encourage JPG and not all in PNG. No ?
You take the time to bake it, and it helps the engine properly shade details that exist only in the normalmap; I couldn't imagine not including it. (Unless there's some downside I don't know about?)
Actually, the rare items generally have far more work put into them. Most are given rare status because they go so far as to include things like animations or VFX.
Later today I'll come back and show you. I'll probably put it into a complete tutorial to include explanation of positioning, and other stuff. Its probably useful for other people as well.
Would it be very close to what JA1 / JA2 were, or would you include some of the improvements introduces in the JA2 1.13 community update? I'm rather interested in this, huge fan of JA2.
Nice one Goeddy. This one inspired by this week's Monster Man episode which included making a werewolf suit. And also catching a fight scene from Power Rangers Samurai on tv.
thank a lot for the extensive feedback! yes all the art shown is made by me, including the concepts. "Cut the 3 oldest concepts" what do you mean by this? the three worst looking?
Posting these online to my portfolio. Any crits or feedback is welcome. Should I include a rendering of the high poly? What about texture maps? Curious as to what people think about that.
