Yeah I think you are right. You should either choose to hand paint the book or choose a more detailed realistic look. Do you have the texture sheet to look at? And maybe of the model flat shaded with wireframe? Just to see how it is modelled.
Sharpened the blade a little, and tone down the weathering's normal map :D Thanks guys! Shrike : I can be wrong , just watched a couple of videos where this kind of sword are called ''Messer'', or ''Long messer'' if it's two handed. Oh and wireframe too :D
nanook, thanks!) Still have time). I've finished lowpoly and made base for the texture. I am going to get rid of the highlight on the horn later. 1.wireframe 2. normals(made for baking check and for fun )) 3.base colors 4. map
Kharn, my man, that is some of the most vivid and beautiful foliage I have ever seen. I want to know how you did it. May I see your texture set up and some wireframe? Maybe even a workflow if you're up to it.
Ah, you mean those "bounding-box corners" ? I find them usefull, otherwise there's no way to tell what or if you have something selected in shaded (non wireframe view). 3DS Clean turned them off but I immediatly switched it back on.
Jonathan: clone your model then add a slight push modifier to the clone and give it a wireframe material. Shadow: nice tank - I agree with EQ, I think the noise is a bit too uniform over the entire tank. Still looks very nice though.
nice warby, though stzart making good screenshots ! It seems like you have resused the hips from merylin, at least they look a bit feminie right now. Can we see a clear wireframe for instance bah maya bah bah bah
What level of detail do you mean for this character? I've done a high poly prime, and have the statue here on my desk. I'd say you're fairly accurate, but I'm not sure how accurate you mean to be. Wireframes are good too. :P
Under the display tab you can change it to show shaded and wireframe as either material or object color - the object colors don't go away when you apply a material. By default it does shaded as material color. I have a script that toggles it for me :)
I prefer the none-italiced version, looks way nicer. As a personal thing; could you post a "wireframe" of the font, I'm interested to see how you did it, because I can see the faint lines and the breakup of pieces but it'd be nice to see it
