This mirrors my experience with it as well. I had lots of fun and I didn't want to stop until I had wrapped everything up. I'd also like to point out that I never saw one single bug in the game across my 8 hours of play. Then add the flawless presentation and you have a truly awesome game.
Thanks guys. I haven't had much time to work on this, but I'd like to push and try to finish. Will be tough but hopefully I can manage. D_Wall : Yeah I agree. My reference folder is much more towards the Deus Ex side. Small update but looking to finish the highpoly in the next day or two and wrap up the low.
Thanks for all nice comments people! I think i'm also gonna wrap this one up! Just quick question, Im submitting this one as dire head slot, can I also do haloween theme on top of this one? @mihalceanu: holy moly that's giving me creeps, looks insanely awesome! I think your completely right @jeebs and @CSOConnor. I'm going to do some proportional studies once I get a good foundation going. I'd really like to put my own style into it and exaggerate some stuff and not stick as close to the splash. Mostly just getting my head wrapped around the different forms + pieces
elfronza: Thank you! Hopefully this update looks even better :) Alrighty, I considered a handful of feedback and have made some major lighting and color tweaks. Let me know if there's anything that stands out still. I'm feeling pretty good about this one, hopefully I can start wrapping this project up and getting to the…
I really like the texture of the blade and the helmet, for me it really sells being made of steel. However the wrap part and the black parts seem really plain, almost flat colour with not real material definition. Also it looks like he's holding onto the pommel, if that's the character/animations you intend to replace I…
Trying to get my promo images wrapped up. had a friend working on Marmo renders but might not come through.. Trying it out but it is completely killing the specular on my beetle. Have no idea why the map is very similar to the original mount/disruptor maps. Even the tick boxes don't change it at all. Now it's completely…
I understand if it's purely an artistic choice that you feel looks cool, but the fabric wrappings don't make practical sense from a realistic standpoint. The one on the barrel will melt or catch fire, the one on the pistol grip will make keeping a firm grip more difficult (firing a machine gun is all about keeping control…
Well if you have a piece you know will tile, which you would do by blocking out on a wrapping plane or similar technique. You take that piece, and you duplicate it and offset it the amount will be determined by the size of the plane you used with your wrapping plane to do the blockout. Like this the red being the original…
A little jungle scene made to practice plants and more lush environment work Most models were made in Maya/3DS Max (switched halfway through), The Rocks and Snail were made in Zbrush. All Materials were made in Substance Designer (Snail was Painter), and then everything was assembled in Unreal 4! (last project before…
