jackets like trenchcoats have belts/belt loops. I'm not sure about a military jacket like that, does seem kind of out of place. doesn't seem to me like someone with a gut like that would do up that belt to make it more obvious
i like the cloth. The whole character feels like it is stretched vertically. Like especially around the chest and shoulders. There's a weird triangle shape across the peck, that could be interesting if it was worked up a little more. Right now it just looks like incorrect musculature.

if you look up how to duplicate along a curve in maya you will see there is no simple dedicated method even in 2024. The go-to method still seems to be MASH.
