Don't the latest Maya versions have HumanIK? It includes a standard bipedal rig, which should be somewhat similar to Max's Bip. I think it's included in 2011 and up.
It didn't work with me either with CS6.. Try to change your subscription to PS CC if it is not included in your adobe deal. I have CS6 included with CC deal..
Have a look in the MaxScript User Reference, keywords 'Including Scripts within Scripts'. Basically it is the 'include' command. But Bobo describes it way better than I ever could ;)

Also check out the surface map rendering included in 3dsmax its under Rendering > Render Surface Map. They where part of polyboost (now called Graphite modeling tools) and where included in 2010.
Doubt they'll replace biped, not really their style to rip stuff out and replace it. But it would be awesome to see them include it along side. I'd like to see them buy puppetshop and include it also...
I see this in the docs: fileIn "$scriptSource\myScriptFunctions.ms" But according to the docs, that evaluates the entire file. I'd like to use include instead as in C, but doesn't seem to work. include "$scriptSource\myScriptFunctions.ms"
