Pretty much calling this one done :) now it got a nice little tutorial loop (which you can skip), the minigame works as intended and there is even an outro clip which lets you start it over I'll upload a vid of it soon, I promise :)
No pinching is really going to happen. The edge loop where the bicep meets the deltoid shouldn't be crunching anyhow. Even if you blend your weights at that point at most the strength will be less than 0.1. The edge loop where the deltoid meets with the pectorals is where most of your crunching will occur. Anyhow, if…
Monolith - This is awesome ocarian - Great stuff looking forward to more! jramauri - Love them all :P Question for you if you have the time. Polycount for this guys should it be lower or you think am on the mark? Also join deformation loops any tips would be great :P Cheers!
I don't understand why everything is faceted? All the buttons and knobs have way too many polys, also the round knobs don't need loops around them they aren't defining any shape so they are just wasted polygons. The texture is decent, but could use some work.
biofrost maybe work on your phong shading on those gold bits they look very rounded at the moment not sure what you are making it in but it might require slicing a few loops into the objects, once the shading is displaying the way you want perhaps the gold will look better? or is it meant to be rounded like that?
@ XenoKratios : You can get rid of many of these edge loops. The normal map is here to "add" these chamfers etc. Continuing on my robot : Overall view with some design changes : (as I said i'm mainly inspired by these warjacks : http://privateerpress.com/warmachine/gallery/cygnar/warjacks) And a close up on the pelvis :
Beaten upp barrel, hp and lp unwraping and baking coming upp soon. The lp is so far on 1052 tris and maybe will get more since im thinking about adding some more loops to get better baking results, been looking on that normals thread and i think it needs it in some places. :poly121:
Ha! This place is amazing. I'm sick for a couple days, hop back online today, take a look around and realize how out of the loop I am. So much goodness being cranked out. As for me, here's an update from my current WIP thread.. And with that, I'll be surfing the P&P for the next several hours trying to catch back up.
You've got the motions in the arms and legs down, but try to keep the knees from popping when she stretches out fully. You also don't have any movement in the hips, which should be bobbing. You can especially tell in the fact that the flat part of her head stays perfectly flat throughout the loop in the side view. The…
Ahh shit forgot about that' Ill smash up a block out now. In my defense i have 100+ references and ive been using the foot as a point of reference. The bottom leg is 5 'feet' high to the joint and another foot for the knee flare. Stands at 12k quads atm. Wonder what it would end at when i add the support loops for turbo…
