Anybody else using a 3Dconnexions 3D mouse and finding the blender script for it completely crap? It's nothing like how it works inside of maya/max :/ maybe there are some better un-official scripts about?

well, for characters nothing beats a nicely structured basemesh to start your sculpt with - and then some manual labour to fine tune it. for anything else i find this quite handy: http://igl.ethz.ch/projects/instant-meshes/

Pablo is a machine! These tools are amazing. The institute should hire him. Couple more patreons and he'd be pretty much a full time blender developer anyway! EDIT: That modifier based live remesher is really something else
Is there some way of stopping BMesh from creating non manifold geometry? I've found its too each to include a stray edge in an extrude. also why is it even allowed? no one else allows this sort of crap for a reason.
Yep. It's best to learn the basics so you always know how something can be done as a fail-safe, then augment using keymaps as needed. Else all you end up doing is learning the peculiarities of a keymap and not Blender.
the only problem i have with the blender uv editor is a) re-unwraping only parts of your mesh b) unwraping anything with bevels,divets or overhangs tends to get really messy for everything else blender uv editor + textools will do
No need to press anything else ^^ It's the beauty of your code :smiley: I think the code must be different to make it possible. Right now it's working, but it's not perfect, we cannot deselect components. Haven't tryed more than that, but the possibilities are really great.
