Shimigami you really seem to be struggling with Subd, that's ok there are a lot of quirks and edge cases to modeling high detail hardsurface models with subd. A lot of things you have run into would be very simple if modeled with NURBS. Well maybe, I'm not sure what 3dsmax's NURBS are like.

I would have modeled that as a single piece and then cut the plates out of it. You could do that or model a base that has the shape you want and retopo it so you have good topology and then extrude the plates out. Another problem is that your edge width is not even. They are wider at the top and tighter at the bottom. To get a nice smoothing these need to be equal. This will also bake better if you want to make a lowpoly out of it in the end. Ahh and the lightning is terrible, I guess this is the "cool" two-point lightning setup…

Lofting by picking "Get Shape" requires your shape to be created from the correct axis. You can do a corrective rotation in sub level, not on object level. Edit spline -> sub lvl 2, rotate the shape.
