Last wip post of 2013, gonna have to get one ready for the 2014 thread when that pops up:P Think I'm done with the sculpting now, minus any glaring issues or decent feedback I receive :) On to retopo and paint!
testing out my modularity and shader with this asset for a scene I plan on creating. Plan on changing the shutters because I don't like them very much now, and I'm going to add some highlights to the wood edges as well to make them pop more.
Took a little break from my enviro to make this. I just started getting into warthammer and need to decide my colour scheme so I made this to help me choose! Still a wip but this kind of presentation popped into my head and I had to mock it up!
Just learned how to get things into CryEngine, and fell in love instantly. Still working on the textures; Trying to get the spec to pop as I want it to, before moving onto any of the other details. [EDIT:] Just found the "Use Spec Alpha as Gloss" toggle. Looks a lot better now.
Standard advice: - lose the landing page - can you lose the separate click for every piece, and then the picture slideshow? Every click is slowing the art director down and every pop up window is annoying them. Seriously, a wall of art is best. But, here is a character I just wrapped up, affectionately dubbed Gunny McGunnerson. He's an obscure character from a comic called Kill Audio. Aaaaand here is a link to the turntable:…
Nice work. I'd say it looks pretty solid in terms of the sculpt. One thing is that I'm guessing that the mouth has no depth it is just made to look like depth with polypaint. If that's the case I think adding some actual depth might make the face pop more. Other than that I'd mainly just say to work on some spec maps to…
I like the bottom left a lot, looks like something out of Warframe kinda. I guess if I had to critique anything, it'd be that some of the pieces seem a bit chaotic in a compositional sense (upper two), like there's no clear dominant form or flow? I'm not very good at words right now. Maybe try experimenting with some paint…
well i'm working on a old Zelda, which is mowing his lawn and stuff pops out xD the character has about 12k tris and the whole scene with the character has about 19k tris i put him into his final position and worked quite a bit on the colors and stuff :) [img]http://www.multimediaart.at/~fhs34699/3D/daily_sculpt/29_apr_13…
Hah looks awesome man, very detailed how long did it take you ? Not sure about the lighting though, feels flat : I would make the light source come from one of the sides, more interesting The rim light looks weird as it comes from both directions, I stick to one A shadow can help communicate the side your main light…
