If you have 64bit Windows platform can you use Adobe Photoshop CS3 on it if Photoshop is only certified for 32-bit editions? I assume it will only have access to less RAM in the 64bit windows enviroment if you had more and it will have a better chance of crashing. Are my assumptions correct? Are their any other downfalls…

dunno if it'll speed things along a bit but aseprite will create a palette from an image you load and then let you save it out to png or whatever. iirc photoshop can do this too. (example attached) i imagine you could use that to filter out the final result as well
I tried to bake 16 bit full float with Knald, and the result is even more weird. :'( Tried to bake with Xnormal 16 bit rgb. Unfortunately there is no option to bake it in grayscale, at least i didnt find it. Map converted in gray scale in photoshop
