Hello Polycount community! This is my very first polycount topic and coincidentally my first finished 3D artwork. I uploaded it on ArtStation here: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/Ov5XY8 I modeled everything in Blender: highpoly, lowpoly; then I baked normal maps, ao and curvature in Marmoset Toolbag 4; textured…
OK, here are my results. These are all 128x128 bakes for MAXIMUM SPEED so ignore the ugliness please. First up I have a normal map baked in 3ds Max with Render to Texture, applied to a mesh that had tangents included, imported with Import Normals: Obviously not synced. Here's the next one. This is the same mesh exported…
I always make the lowpoly first when working with this kind of modular pieces, I find that a lot easier. You don't need to model the lowpoly slightly smaller btw, in fact that will result in baking errors (the gaps). You may need to check this out if you are running into troubles with baking:…

Hello once again! Starting back up in this thread as I have begun updating this project trying to do things a bit better than last time. The main thing has been the modular kit that I am remaking, starting with the arch house. When I started the project, I wanted it to be a sort of hero piece but ended up having it not…
this looks awsome, nor sure if its old or not......passed me by quietly if it is from website - "Video footage Information The goal of the demo is to "Keep material consistency under indirect illumination using Physically-based Rendering." Technical facts: Rendered in real-time on Xbox 360 / PlayStation 3 Runs at 30Hz with…
Hey guys, Don't really want to clog up the lowpoly thread with my WIPs, so thought I'd make my own thread for some feedback. I'm working on a low poly handheld environment for the DS for a university assignment. The theme is 'superheroes' so I'm doing a villain's volcano rocket base lair! It's sort of inspired by the…
