Per Pixel lit foliage and lighting
Just a quickie, for those of you in the know. How are you guys going about solving foliage in per pixel lit scenes with regards to harsh lighting? Simple planes with local maps are used for foliage but for the life of me I cant quite figure out a nice lighting method for them. Is there any tips or links you guys could… -

Definitely check for the script as MoP suggests first, but if not there are a couple of ways to minimize the pain. This is a bit of work but can help in tracking down which maps/materials are used on which objects. Click a blank material slot. Choose Get Material. Browse From Scene. Show Maps and Materials. Why don't you check your local libraries if they have 3d printers? Or ask around if anyone has. You could prepare for 3d printing some characters you've already done, gain some knowledge on what needs to be separate parts etc. If you buy a 3d printer for constant printing, don't really keep it in the area you live since… -

You'll be surprised at the quality of art teachers you can find at community colleges, I had 4 art courses all taught by teachers with active art careers. I had the opportunity to have a sculpture funded by and displayed at a local park. We actively had to go to art events as part of the course requirements.
