You are right indeed, I did this and it was my "roof" planes I put in just to block out the sun from inside that had no UVs. I re-unwrapped the blockout model and re-imported to the engine, re-built the light and all looks beautiful! Thanks a lot!!
only crit if I may, more dirt and cracks on the roof would look nice! also, since I'm stuck on this game, I think assassin's creed could be good reference for this scene.. keep up the good work! Now I want to do one too!!
@artrynkwoah your blocked scene looks amazing! My only thoughts would be that maybe the shingles on the front porch roof do seem to repeat a bit and that the tree's trunk seems to be getting thinner and thicker almost randomly. Overall super psyched to see you it turns out ^_^
It looks like a cool game but the social stealth part is kinda wonky. I mean you are like 200 meters away from you target jumping down some roofs and shit, then run up to a group of monks and thats that, now the guards think you are a monk??
Hey guys. I`m trying to make a shadow catcher for use in a Maya scene. It`s an interior and the catcher works well but only when the roof has been hidden. If its not then the alpha becomes almost completely white. I`m really confused by this one so any help would be awesome. Here is the scene
Working on this concept for a uni brief. Concept: (https://www.artstation.com/artwork/XJeLD) Blockout progress: Struggling to get the platform to fit into the scene properly, but the rest of the blockout is pretty close. Not entirely sure how the roof is supposed to work in the concept so I am basing it on a groin vault.…
sure i understand polycounts these days can go through the roof. but you should use your polies in a wiser fashion. there are a lot of polies not defining anything that could be placed somewhere else to give the silouhette a more interesting appearance. just C&C'in. keep it up man.
Finished up the interior and the undercarriage so I decided to get started on the high poly! Didn't have much time to work for the day so I started with something small. Went with the roof rack as that's something that won't change too much if I need to make adjustments
mm nice and clean. The lighting is really nice and soft too. You gunna put any human element to it? It would be cool to see maybe bigger more flowing shapes on the floor and roof, not a big fan of the segmented parts. Maybe get some more depth in both as well.
More art dumping! Working on the ruins level still. Most of this stuff is still in concept. Small stone Block Paper lantern, glow effect still needs work, only base colour at the moment Modular asset pieces, no texture. Roof texture, normal and base colour only
