I was wondering too decade ago. There was no way . Don't think anything changed. Not sure although. I use Zbrush less and less every next year Haven't even undated it since last year . 3d coat has this in layers blending. Max blending.
I have over a decade of experience in 3D modeling and sculpting. I am a professional miniature maker - specializing in miniature creation for RPGs, board games, and war games. I can also do high poly sculpting for video games and other media. Portfolio: https://www.artstation.com/randomartattack Rates are negotiable but…
I've been animating in Maya for nearly a decade now...I mean, as much as I'd like to ditch Maya for Blender as Id rather support Ton and friends over AutoDesk, Maya is still the best out there where it comes to Animation Workflow and Rig Performance...;/
Decals, vertex painting, post processing. Labels/symbols on the tanks and the cold thing to symbolize cold so whatever it is people can understand its supposed to be cold. Also make a focal point with the lighting, currently the lighting in there is pretty regular across the whole composition.
It is looking pretty nice, I would have liked to see more color though. It still is missing that little bit of flavor in the textures. Maybe some spray paint decals that construction worker would use. Overall though it is a really nice piece of work.
Thank you for the advice and sorry for the delay in response as I only just got back from vacation. It looks like it was working the whole time, I just had them both on the same texture set, and it was creating a transparency through the whole mesh lol
Ah, well then have you tried just using a decal to fake it? The only other thing I can think of at the moment would be to use a colored mask and project it with a point light, but I think CE3 only allows b&w masks for lights.
The new tweaks are gorgeous! Don't know if you wanna take it in that direction, but I would suggest some vert-painted or decal stains on the large brick surfaces to break them up a little. You know, some water stains, bird poop etc
Had this issue too. Didn't end up fixing it, and just added a very slight push modifier to the lower LODs, which is a terrible workaround. I think the delay is because some meshes can do an intelligent transition, but never found a way around it.
omg platinum games metal gear first time ive been giddily excited about a game in half a decade. Also, i'm also super glad epic is making minecraft. Maybe it will actually be a GAME, where things INTERACT and CHANGE, and not just a toolset.
