For the 3/4 view I rendered a clay render and an AO render and combined them via Photoshop. For the others I was using XoluilShader or 3 Point Shader to grab viewport screens.
I've got a dual pentium 3 gig, I don't know it's loaded and it's a Toshiba widescreen and it's awesome. I can play Doom 3 on it with no problems. It works great with 3d Max.
Oh well...at least its something to look forward to...and more time to play Crysis, HL2 Orange Box, Unreal Tournament 3, Guitar Hero 3, Assassins Creed...etc...

Turn OFF self illumination and use a 3 light setup with Ben Clowards 3 light shader. As it is right now I don't think we're seeing any of the normal map.
RTS Warcraft 3, Starcraft if you somehow managed to miss these. Warhammer Dawn of War. Freaking orcs with sci fi what more can you ask. Command and Conquer 3
Thankyou for your feedback. In hindsight, I see what you're talking about. I guess I was trying to rush this project and thats why I skimmed past the proportions. Ill definitely go back to the blockout board and redo it more carefully :3
That was because I did not unwrap the sphere perfectly, I did not spend the time to make the rings equidistant from eachother, so the texture is a little unevenly displayed (and stretched at the center rings). here's a map of mars with equidistant rings applied via this method: please, do find any creases, seams or…
