Hey all, Been working away on a new portfolio any feedback on the site layout, colours and the actual work would be appreciated. One thing I'm worried about is the amount of work, is it enough to start applying or do I need more? http://cartyarty.com Thanks!
A lot of studios differentiate between prop and environment art. The latter being more layout, composition and negotiation with level designers based than modelling based. A background in archviz wouldn't hurt at all in that role
Great web layout and portfolio, especially the ampli . I agree with komaokc. Without ad, it'll look more professional. However, some people won't mind the ad as long as your work is great
The area layout is an inverted N64 controller. I was hoping it was going to be something dirty, but no - just a controller. Fun (possible) fact: Legend has it that Mario was named after Shigeru Miyamoto's Italian landlord at the time.
Sorry for the delay. I tried to take everyone's crits into account and reworked a lot of stuff in my layout as well as dropped some stuff off the portfolio. Thanks for the awesome feedback everyone, lesson learned.
yeah i want to know a shaped layout inside my modeling, may be it need to be fixed anything. This is my modeling picture , can you check it for me. if any problem, please tell me
Personally I would be fine with either but it would be a great place to tighten up your UV-layout and poly management so I am leaning towards doing your own model as well.
Looks like auto'ed UVs to me, most software has some manner of auto project and layout like this. But like Pea says, we need more info to help you with any specifics.
Looks great, I like the new layout. One thing though, center that shit! On widescreen monitors it is really annoying to have to turn your head to the left to look at stuff, especially for the smaller images.
still workin on this, got a few more up since last posting, the latest one is a setup for a storyline. also did a bit of work on the site layout, the header an backgroun art are stil wip www.coffeeoutlaws.com
