It wont collapse as the face it is trying to 'replace' is not open so it wont work. If you deleted the face 'under' the once you are trying to weld down it will work, seems like a bit of a strange topology though, as you just have floating vertex's along the edge and onces that seem to be under the faces.
weird is the lil oval safty thing behind the main cylinder floating really high? in your first render an the wire it seems right next to the cyllinder, but in the 2nd renderer it apears way back even past the screw near the hammer. but anyway sweet model, one of my fave guns
I think some weld beads would be pretty cool in places that make sense. It's hard to tell in the reference if they are there but I think it would be cool to have some highlights in places where pieces connect to make a flow. right now its apparent a few of the pieces are floated into each other.
I know Max is currently a bloated mess, but I think gobbling up other programs in the past was made max so great (A lot of those additions seem dated as hell now, but they were amazing back then) Polyboost (Graphite), Character Studio, Mental Ray. Think about it this way: If Max gobbled up and integrated: - HeadUs UV…
I think the final design is my favorite. So many to good ones to choose from though. I think having the foot wrap design from the original concepts would be more fitting though as she floats through the air and heels might not look right. Great start though, following for sure.
the boxes actually has shadows, but the sun is very low and the fact that the boxes are floating over the ground makes the shadow appear outside of the image. (you can see the shadow from the box furthest away). might make a mix of lowering them and increasing the sun height. will add more props tomorrow. thax for the…
It was telephone. I heard about the DGX workstations being floated around but it's now I learned those machines were given to them to run on as opposed to being built directly for them. That's new information to me. Regardless, the less expensive hardware requirements the better. I wont complain about saving money. :D
@Baddcog; Thanks for the feedback, but i quite like having the stump chin, a lot of the current treant sets have beards so i wanted to do something a little different. Here's an idea for a Tidehunter set that i've had floating around at the back of my head for a while. Not sure whether it is too gory etc.
I have returned with some concepts for her outfit! I'm a sucker for cute, and I think cute suits Taliyah. Little hearts floating around her sleeves is such a cute idea to me! The grayscale is a placement for now, shades will probably end up differently. What ones do you guys like the most?
you still need to turbo or mesh smooth your tires and rims, still very blocky. and as for the windows, you dont necessary need them to be attached to the body of the bus, it would actually be easier to keep as is and have them be floating geo. extrude the body of the bus inward where the windows will be and set the windows…
