ScoobyDoofus: Depends on the complexity of the image. I can churn out a 'finished' image in 8-10 hours but like anything else the more time generally involves more polish.

Here's another shot, I highlighted the edges of the wood and skewed the roof a little more. **There are 8 512x512 textures used here - the plan is to reuse these throughout our other structures.
Yeah I'll be here tomorrow. I have class from 8-12 but i'll be in the library after that working on homework and this guy. I'll post up the reference tomorrow as well.
This happened to me in the past too, with max 8, it turned out that deleting all smoothing groups on the object cured the problem, further investigation revealed a mesh error - overlapping edges.
the tank threads seem like boxes with no smoothing groups :8 Chamfers are friends-a ! keep going shep , nice hearing from you finnally ! ( porco rosso game...*cough*)
updated the mesh. pretty sure ill stick with this one. basically just rotated the mesh mirror doing symmetry mods to get 8 sides then cleaned it up and through a turbosmooth on.
