whats driving the reflection map? never used the 3point shader before. is it just using 0-1 b/w values to determine how much reflectivity to give? the emissive is looking slightly washed out.. maybe by the spec it looks like. but it basically looks like you're losing some of the saturation from the emissive map. other than…
Question for the pros! Anyone know of a good tutorial for posing the high res model in brush for the beauty shot? I suck at posing in zbrush. Thanks! Adding goals too! Personal goals for this contest 1) Start the character in zbrush, no maya 2) Learn dynamesh 3) Retopo the character w/o maya 4) Make a sweet hand painted…

Modifiers by default affect the whole object. To limit bevel to a single edge, see the bevel modifier panel limit using: -> BevWeigh. Then go back to the mesh and press ctrl+shift+e to control bevel weight per selected edge. Or alternatively, bevel is also a mesh tool. Select your edges, press w to access the "specials"…
yeah of course udk has a texture sample limit but in theory there's no limit to the number of textures you could blend. assuming you put specular in the alpha channel of your diffuse and use b/w maps in single channels you could in theory use the vertex colour channels like i mentioned. i didnt say it was a good idea, just…
had this happen the other day. the object still exists all i had to do to bring it back was select it using the outliner than press w to put a transformation widget on it and once i tried to move it it re-apparead. just seems like a weird rendering bug. but it may of happened to me because i had a few complex hlsl shaders…
I know hes eyes where stretching it a tad, just seemed so dull w/o (did a PS "beaty" pass). Hes scar was suppose to be alot more dominant, tried different things, but it ended up looking bad imo. Know hes hat could use some more polys, but it didnt annoy my eye too much.
A few ideas: Your model is upside down Your view is upside down, but still orthographic (use the view cube and make sure it says top) You're not in world space (hold w, left click, make sure "world" is selected) Y is not set as up and down. Z could be set that way (possible due to importing shit from another program).
This. I can think of a few female characters that are physically sexy, but that have more depth than just that (Doctor Who comes to mind, and even Battlestar Galactica in some regards, despite Anita bashing it). You can also simplify the questions to the 5 W's: Who? What? When? Where? Why? If any of the answers to the…
Nick Carver reveals his dark side :D Do you know how much those G&W units would be worth today Nick? Might send you into another hammer-wielding rage if you did! :D I don't think I've ever broken a peripheral or copy of a game out of anger... is this common with people? :P
