They don't have to start it to cash in on it. But it's the same as Iraq. All the various contractors. The companies making all those lovely missiles, airplanes, guns, bullets, and just general war produce. They sure as hell are having a good decade. The rest of the country? not so much. -

The lightmap IVs should be unique, yes. But yeah, for everything else I'd use tiling textures and maybe a shader that blends between a couple of variants so you can add a bit more interest. Decals help, too, to break up the tiling. -

nice UV layout. its an art in itself to tetris your UVs. the 'death by ump' decal takes away from the gun unless it were used by mercenaries or something. but it definitely wouldn't be on a private police force gun. they have a chalkboard in the locker room for that... -

I liked the tanks too, although the textures seemed a bit uninspired,with a standard dirty metal feel. The mesh was nice though! Could use some more details and decals. I'd recommend removing that windmill from the samples, it needs some work... -

i agree. the thing with these other forms of art is that there wasnt a huge corporate interest in them in the early years. videogames have been around about 40 years but have only come into the limelight in the last two decades, with major money involved in them. -

Re: Logitech G5 mouse + Max?
Did you fix it? I got a MS wireless tilt wheel mouse a while back and there was a hardware delay in the middle click. Made it impossible to use with Max. Never did work correctly. I had to get a different less cool mouse.
