Set a hokey or menu item to "Select Vertices By Bone (Skin)". I have a script called Replace Weights. It takes all the vertex influence from one bone and assigns them to your target bone. I can package it up if you are interested.
So.............a video of Operation: Bodycount? One thing i miss in games is pressing bracket keys then enter to activate some item. Raven and 3D Realms made the best out of that in the day. Jedi Outcast is the last game I can remember having such a thing.
Oh like with items that are symmetred? I have all those in stacks. The top and bottom are separate because the top has the cylinder bit and the bottom doesn't. Not sure what else could have potentially been overlapped. Maybe the top and bottom parts of the clamps?
I decided to start replacing the pick-up items in Quake II as hand-painted material practice. Polycount thread: http://polycount.com/discussion/201331/wendys-hand-painted-material-practice More images on my Artstation: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/KYJrX
So... In order to kick-off this thread, i'm gonna ulpoad some silhouette ideas for the next item. (preparation for Dire chest) Maybe you guys will let me know what u think :P i prefer the 1st so far :D
As a press promotional item I'd love to get one. Yes it would be better if they were encased in resin or something so they were a thematic paperweight (legally speaking) but its a great promo piece to go along with a mobster game. Good idea, bad execution.
Yeah pea's got a point. Its to the point that parallax would be needed and its too expensive on such a throw away item. A few more polys would work best. Its better to add a few verts to get a good shape then it is to add expensive shaders.
There is this weird edge/horizontal corner on this wall and it looks really odd. Also, your clothes line looks incredibly flat, would be nice to see a few hanging items which were curled up or hanging awkwardly. Aside from that, this looks great :)
Small adjustment... made some ridges in front of the face to insert whiskers. First attempt at direct mesh painting. Removed clothing items, and added modified back feet. Made small adjustments to the glasses frame in order to allow anchoring on the back of the ears.
Hey Scruples, thanks for the reply. Actually the HDRI is more like set at Noon, its a bright sunny day. Here is the HDRI I bought and am using on this project. http://3docean.net/item/hdri-mountain-route-1/4247251?s_rank=11
