Gradient map approach are pretty well off in many regards, but they do cost a pretty instruction count when you want to do procedurally. You are missing the placement of the eyes and cheeks, which is making your head still look a little flat. Your eyes are sunk pretty far into your face. Is there a way to completely make the rendering of pixels super square (it always tries to smooth/blur the pixels together in 3do)?
