i can read that, i'd just expect more from something modeled ? Everything that texture has can be done through the PS filter, saving 80% of the time invested. Not trying to be an ass or anything, but if you're taking the time to model something, i'd try to come up with shapes and designs that make it worth it. That texture…
A game vertex typically "weighs" around 32 bytes (that is 8 times the cost of a compressed pixel in a RGB texture, 4 times of uncompressed RGBA). Be aware so that game vertices are typically a bit more than the vertices in the 3d editor. A q3 level like q3dm1 would be like 1.4 megs, a car with 10k polys around 450 kb. Just…
Here's a quick rend of the block in the front of the scene. My team is doing the same thing as Soid3, sorry guys. Zebra'ed it, then projection map, threw some quick overlays on it. 450polys I'll fix up the textures and finish off the steps and floor the same way 2maro.
Not sure if you're still shopping about, but I have a suggestion. I just recently picked up a Sharp Aquos LCD for a second display just for gaming mainly out in the living room. The one I'm suggesting in particular is the Sharp Aquos 32" LCD: Model LC-32GP1U. I had spent quite a bit of time researching a bunch of LCD and…
The death toll from the Indian Ocean tsunamis continues to rise, with more than 80,000 people reported dead. The toll rose again today when Indonesia's Ministry of Health said more than 45,000 people died in the country.
Hey guys, thanks for the crits. I've been slowly chipping away at this over the last couple of weeks. I switched over to Marmoset for screengrabs(wonderful little program, try it out if you haven't). Can't seem to get the glass to work properly though. Yeah, the maps are pretty big aren't they? I could probably downsize it…
If this is for a 3rd person model, 1024x1024 is a huge texture to have. If it's for a first person model, 450 polys is quite low. I'm a bit confused as to what you are going for. As for the detail, a couple of things seem pretty off, but it's really hard to tell from the small image you gave us. Can you post a larger image?
in response to: Not true China has the largest standing army on earth. Aswell, the number has 'almost' doubled within the 10 years. That says soemting about their economy. Training and feeding an army the size of a small country is no small feat. -Ground Force (Army) (1.9 million men; 14,000 tanks; 14,500 artillery pieces…
