@ZacD yes! Thanks for the advice, my goal is for the viewers eyes to go through the scene to the castle behond, but i see that I am blocking the view with the fog, I will use some colours to lead the viewers eye better along the path that I want. I think you are right about those rocks, I need to work on the silhouette and…
Hi everyone! Here is Slim and Crow's in-game model. I was responsible for the low-poly models, textures, and shader implementation of the two characters. Jason Hill was responsible for the High-poly creation including the pet's low-poly and texture. Mike Brainard and Loren Broach created the weapon models and textures.…
It is so great to see that there is a community building up around SD. I love to see what people come up with. @Octo This looks awsome...I suddenly have to think about a movie I recently watched. Something about small people and a big dragon... Shooting in one of my attemps to far. I like the runtime manipulation of…
i always had enough memory to handle undecimated models in xNormal, but it's a different story in 3dsmax for sure. i was also told by Grant Hill that with the proper knowledge of C++ I could write a plug-in to make the conversion but since I lack the skills of doing so, I was hoping someone on the forums would have that…
yea, looks like the one I have is a dead one, doesn't change colour and doesn't seem to emit any light at all. My dealings with Dell has pretty much been an up hill battle before I purchased the monitors and looks like after the purchase I will have to continue fighting to sort this issue out too. Then again, on the bright…
Your distance fog is way to close to the camera...should only see it on the rolling hills in the background...not on the barn..which I would assume to be the focal point. Also, your lighting appears cool in the foreground....the contrast between that and the super orange background does not look good. Maybe its the color…
Thanks for the awesome feedback guys, I got some of em in there tonight, and I'm gonna reply properly when I get the rest implemented. For now I have changed the camera angle, added some placeholder support for the hill, used the script of Semuru's friend and changed the lighting to focus more on the church as Jeff…
translation. So far as preserving UV's goes any operation that changes geometry along a uv seam will usually make crap of your unwrapping. If your modeling within a UV island with no open uv edges then you should enable the 'preserve UVs' option found under 'edit geometry' in editable poly. this will give you limited…
It doesn't really offer any height advantage, because A it's pretty low built and B it's in a valley instead of on a hill. I think the distance between the floor and the roof should be as much as the distance between the railing and the roof currently is. Possibly lengthen the supports a bit more. I also don't see any…
ORLY? LINK "Today, rock 84001 speaks to us across all those billions of years and millions of miles. It speaks of the possibility of life. If this discovery is confirmed, it will surely be one of the most stunning insights into our universe that science has ever uncovered. Its implications are as far-reaching and…
