The green parts are the colors of the terrain. I will create grass and other vegetation for both the ground and to cover the stones. I revamped my blockout. What do you guys think? I might add more asymmetry in the future!
You could also get really good at sculpting rocks, cliffs, trees, bricks, stone walls, etc. You may want to look into texture creation using sculpts as well. Just some more ideas for ya!
Hmmm - it seems okay in renders, but yeah, once it's more 'finished' looking, I'll stick it in Marmoset. Shame 'cos I love the 'move camera - texture updates' thing in max. :( Got distracted and made a quick stone BG.
you cant animate an multimillion poly char... you need to use dispmaps... smae goes for environment stuff like stones... you simply cant load that much geo into max... the poly needs to be created during rendertime...
@ Acumen - I was going to work on a barrel next, but considering you said i should try different surfaces, i think a stone wall and UV unwrap that sh*t, cause unwrapping really blows my brain.
Awesome. I might be down for this Friday. Where were you guys thinking? There's tons of places down by where you're staying, depends what everyone's in the mood for, I guess. Yaletown Brewery, The Pound, Blarney Stone.....Odyssey :|
Suiide bombers would be easy to stop - arm the palestinians. If the palestinian people had aircraft, attack helicopters, air-to-ground missiles, tanks etc they'd use them instead of stones. People use what they've got.

Hello guys!!! I was wondering if anybody has an idea of how to achieve this result in UE5? I have a tilable texture like this one in my scene, and to add some variation I want some of the stones/bricks to be covered in dirt, or at least the lower parts of some of them. My guess is this is not vertex paint, and I don't know…
I'm learning from a tutorial on creating stone texture. I don't know if it exactly caused by Slope Blur or i screwed up something before. I do exactly the same thing but get this result as ugly lines instead of smooth distortion. :/
