I actually haven't used it as a grid system.. but it definetly should be possible. Problem is though that you can't snap to grid. You can change the grid settings under the draw dropdown. I'm afraid I am not familiar with this problem. All I can think of is to re-attach the model to the bones of the hero, also to make sure the models' x,y and z coordinates are "0". Where in XSI can I find the connect tool? Never heard of it o.O And what do u mean by creasing edges? Here's what I have so far: I'm having doubts if I should now start chopping through the whole mesh just to get my edges to flow through the window-y stuff. Any more edge placement pointers and stuff? Re: Exporting hi poly from ZBrush to Maya.
Zbrush uses Y up. Typically I will use GoZ to bring models back and forth between the programs so I won't have to worry about orientation (the script "figures it out"). If you export your model out of Maya (or Max) without GoZ you'll need to make sure the "Flip YZ-axis (Poser-like)" checkbox is checked in the .OBJ export… -
