Cool project. This is the kind of thing I could see lego doing with a game and then offering all the parts as actual lego kits. If this becomes a popular mod, you should print up parts lists and instructions for some of the ships. -

I could be off on this idea, but I think you're being too modular. When I first started doing modular stuff I would break everything down into squares because I thought that was the point. I'm pretty excited. I first wanted to do 3d because I wanted to be one of the guys who makes the Legos for instruction manuals. When I was like 13. Hah. I never expected I'd get to play with Legos and make them in 3d for a living though. Woohoo. -

I spent most of my childhood making LEGO mecha, airplanes, cars, and other crazy shit, and drawing pisspoor recreations of Ronin Warriors and Bubblegum Crisis characters. Now I'm older and I pretty much do the same thing, minus the legos. No real reason to it other than a hyperactive imagination and a love for cool shit. -
