Yeah, that is a great point. I cheaped out and just modelled a basic eye with a texture and didn't really go into depth on the underlying structure. That being said, since you pointed out, I will add that to my adjustments!
What you described is imo just most common way to work there. Nobody wastes time just for sake of potential scalability you may never need. If it's not a portfolio sport my guess.
Thanks again Eric. You're probably right that the back of the headstock is too clean for the rest of it. I think I didn't prioritize it since it's the back. Consistency can be the sort of thing to need pointed out. I imagined this as being cleaned off regularly and still in use. The paint chips and the oxidation on the…
I am just coming out of a bad creative low, so I have decided to get stuck into a alternate version of The Incredible Hulk (just a bust). Wish me luck :poly134: Latest Update: Finally calling him done, There is more I would change on him but I am just too sick of looking at him so I decided to call it quites. I made him…
it's looking pretty awesome Medestruit. Nice work especially matching it with that tone of grey on the shirt, it makes the colors really pop. Only thing I would say is that the arms are busting out of the wearer's chest, but where'd that stomach come from? If the stomach is also from the wearer, would you want to add like…
Have you made a lot of character models already? If not, I'd suggest: Do all three. Do a quick version of each, not trying to make it perfect, just like 70%. Do your best work but do it within a schedule - like 4 weeks per character, going from beginning to having it posed and rendered in your portfolio. Just cut out…
About the character model I posted, the upgrade is a work in progress, so I'll be updating the post on artstation as I make upgrades. Thanks for the suggestions on presentation, I will take it into advisement. At the moment I'm not too concerned if a recruiter comes across my portfolio and finds fault with it given its not…

Due to my busy schedule this past month there wasn't time for a voting round - we will pick back up next Challenge! Remember if you don't finish in the time allotted, just keep plugging away and post when your work is…
I am glad to see to still coming here with me Pior, you are.. hmm.. a sublime tool ? that's it :) Ok i will try to get more confident and trust in me, when i am trying to explain something and must to do it in English would be easier in French, but it seems i construct my sentences differently in english that i would do it…
@jarsef are you motivated to do this at least for this year? being here and care about the thread? someone from sony online suggested a while back to not do a whole character. i think thats true. maybe 2 weeks for a bust. just a bust. thats enough. or maybe 1 month for a bust, retopoed and with textures. i would be for…
