Viking Environment : Development Diary http://www.artstation.com/artwork/Kax1Zx Hello my name is Alejandro Díaz Castellano, a third year student at FX Animation School. I am going to talk a little about the last project I have created for school with my friend and classmate Víctor Agrisuelas Pascual. + References. The main…
I would select one side, and extrude it along the curve towards the piece you want to merge it with. You can increase the subdivisions on the extrude as needed. Just it it close that way, and then merge/weld for the same effect.
Try to do a double check on her legs, even if the perspective is right, the legs looks too short. Maybe change the angle of the spread a little? This shot can get a lot of benefit from the skirt forms.
so I went back to the drawing board.... felt happy with the changes....hated the leg tho...not sure how to feel about the weapon. cropped the leg, working on the values once again...the weapon is going to be different.

I think you could stand to be more brave with the proportions and really push the curves of her silhouette, especially in the legs. IMO her legs look stumpy notably from the side/3/4 view.
It's rendered beautifully, the only issue I'm having with the pose. Is that the legs should be reversed. Since you have the left arm forward, the left leg should be placed back. Either way it's awesome! Great work!
I noticed the anatomy was off before, but with that armor, the legs stand out so small and stumpy. Please fix this as all I can do is look at those tiny legs, and not appreciate the rest of your model.
