Abandoned Diner

I really enjoy a good podcast, whether its from the talk shows on my local rock station (kisw.com) or lately the game-industry oriented PC Gamer podcast (pcgamer.com). I was wondering who here listens to podcasts, and if so, what podcasts? It doesn't have to be based on games, just whatever subject interests you. -

You can find similar topics by searching "visa" or "immigration". The general consensus seems to be that it's very difficult to get the papers in most places unless you have a degree or are at the top of your field/world renowned and companies usually prefer to hire locally instead of going through the effort of sponsoring. -

Canada doesn't require a degree. As long as company is willing to hire you they can do it. It's a lot of work though. The way most visas work is a company has to prove that it can't find similarly skilled labor locally. So as long you're better then everyone else you should be good. ;) -

Can also right click mesh - transform - mirror on X Y Z. That works on the world space coordinates, using the drawboxes is local coordinates. Also right clicking supports transforming entire groups, the drawscale boxes do not. So depends on the situation which one you want to use. -

That, and also if you are zoomed in to work on small details, click "Local" so that the camera spins around the area you are working on, rather than using the whole model as the pivot. (I thin I got my terminology wrong here, but I hope you get what I mean.) -

I do IT for local government. It's stable, straightforward, and not too stressful most of the time, plus it's a rocksteady schedule that I can plan around. I'm doing indie work on the side, sharpening my art skills, and learning everything I can to improve as an artist during my nights/weekends.
