Hi Polycount! I finally put together a portfolio website so I'm looking for feedback and would really appreciate anything you can think of in terms of the layout or my work. Thanks :) Updated [1 September 2015] http://www.ren-phillips.com/
It's me again. One of my trouble spots is the transition to the shoulder, low or high resolution. I'd like a few examples if I may, to study some more proper layout. Here are some shots of the shoulder area right now: Thanks!
just delete poligons from one side? after unfolding and proper layout, bake that all.. and after duplicate this part and transfer along the axis? (and merge the points again) that is the algorithm?
http://www.polyphobia.de/public/advices/uvstraightening.pdf meh export didnt wanna work for unknown reasons, so layout is bodged and no animated stuff. but i posted the important stuff before
Thank you guys. I am working on it. Changed the layout already, but I need to create more representative things. Thank you for the mentorship tip Rokugan. Starting in November :)
you either can use image hosting, like photobucket or imageshack and then take the forum html or it is a buttom to add an image, if the image is too big it will shrink to fit the forum layout.
My Workaround was another UV Layout, If you have a seem on a Border its harder to see. Yeah offset Erros with Presets... use single Materials until its fixed ;)
Carbonmade offers very little customization but they make sure your site looks good, which is vital if youre not experienced with web and graphic design , layouting typography colors etc.
It could be your color ID. At any rate, this is certainly an issue on your end - you'll need to investigate the model and determine if there's any error in the mesh, the baked textures, or the UV layout.
A layout of the weapon with bolt open, magazine removed, and some bullets spread out like it was on a bench at a shooting range might be a nice presentation, besides your typical action shots.
