Painting masks for optimisation control = win ... that was one of the things I always liked about Lightwave's optimisation plugin. This should be great for taking things out just before baking (or 3d printing!) to keep file sizes and processing times down. I love Pixologic! -

Scuse the crappy pic, I can never get a good shot of images under glass. Concept art print by Ralph McQuarrie - and signed by the man himself. Not a lot of real value, but I remember staring at his paintings as a thirteen year old, in complete awe. -

Looks very cool overall :+1: Looking closer, I think there are a few points that could be improved on: Skull - Got to agree this is the most glaring weakness, looking caught in-between different ideas. Given the overall amount of work put in, wouldn't skimp on such a central element. Perhaps do some paint-overs to explore… -

If you want to go nuts and improve drastically, I'll tell you what we did in my digital painting course where everyone improved drastically. One week we'd paint 6 different kinds of stone textures (granite, stone slabs, obsidian, etc --or even a couple the same kind), then the next week do 6 different kinds of wood… -

WIP Sabertooth X-Men 1992
