hey guys, I'm wondering if you have any thoughts about rigging the wrists up for game characters. When using biped I have the hand as a separate floating object that rolls inside a ball socket which is the end of the forarm. If you wanted it to be seamless, would you need to have another bone or something?
I just have some feedback on the animations, i know you didn't ask but I couldn't help it, -The left salute @00:15 has a snap on the right foot -The guy crawling on the groin shot scene has his head looking down throughout the cycle, maybe adjust it so He can look ahead to see where hes going. -the left stride run is much…
Covid made me think of myself as a lonely astronaut floating around in Isolation, so I made this. Initially, it was supposed to be for UE4 but I couldn't get nice enough glass so I ended up CPU rendering it in Modo. More shots on Artstation: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/0ne0xV
it's better to use shape splatter imo. it's more up to date working in unrestricted floating point math allowing extra helpful outputs. Tile sampler is an inheritance from older versions. And you are right about vector input example: https://www.dropbox.com/s/7plbykytb3jziz1/stitches_test.sbs?dl=0
Thanks for the comment burtonyang. Do you mean the width of the neck, or the front to back thickness? The tuning pegs are held in place by a small screw at the back as well as a nut on the front. Here's a close up of the back of the tuners. You are right about the floating volume and tone controlls. I get right on that.
Since TB 3.04b supports 32bit float EXR I would try your shader once again to output a proper UV pass. But unfortunately your shader doesn't work anymore in 3.04b (object becomes invisible). So an update / fix would be very appreciated. Thanks you.
Just a ingame mockup WIP picture for now... Just so that you can see the idears floating about in my brain, not done yet though. Obviouse things to do like the walls, floor on the other side and under view background... don't have to stress because of the deadline extension...
Star Wars: The Force Awakens Immersive 360 Experience Spot the floating artifacts at 29, glad to see they are under as much time constraints as everyone else. (forgive the double post from the VR thread but just wanted to make sure you see this) :) https://www.facebook.com/StarWars/videos/1030579940326940/
cute successful recreation! I would like to see less floating geometry especially if your planning on rigging and posing him. try keeping it all one element if possible. some debate this but it helps keep clipping/piercing while animated to a minimum. love that squishy look you nailed it
Thanks @Ragnar_Danneskjöld, I've seen that book floating around over the years, but never had a chance to look at it. Your review has sold me. I'll be ordering soon for sure. @DGB : Good point, I see what you mean. I'll be sure to correct this on my next update.
