I dont think so. They use a lot of different software depending on the artist and function but even in the latest Vidoc they were using max to create the BSPs.
Hmm. Maybe select all faces, use the Relax function a couple of times, and then use turboTools' Shrinkwrap to conform the relaxed mesh to the surface of the original mesh?
it may be in the legacy shaders section (that's where it is in newer mayas.) The mia_material has absorbed it's functionality but if you just need a quick clear material it works well.
Is there any way to add a function to create a gif of multiple images for WIP threads? It would be a fantastic feature to be able to update/add future images to the gif.

I have to agree. At least for this first version. This will be clunky and sort of functional. I think a few versions from now, if they keep working on it, it could be cool.
