Hello again! Since my last update I've gotten some feedback from various people. Alot of the feedback I was getting was mostly regarding base color and roughness values feeling pretty monotonous over the whole scene, so I put some work into tweaking the concrete master material and getting in a bit more roughness variation…
Good morning or good evening! I have been a long time just ghost reader for polycount but I'm trying my luck at local Melbourne studios again (despite the current harshness of the industry). Before I apply to some, I was wondering if anyone would be be happy to share some critiques about my artstation portfolio!…
Right on Cheese, that's good to know. I must admit I was quite into it at some point, almost bought it but gave up because of the support... I'm glad to hear they are back in action!
Hi everyone, I am currently working on my Final Major Project and it has come time for me to create a complimentary pistol weapon case for my firearm. The case I have decided to create is the Sig Sauer P320 pistol case. I will have a modified version to accommodate a set of attachments, but the idea from this reference is…
1. Check what ghib said, I never use snap to curve so I don't really know. 2. This is something that really annoys me about Maya, coming from Max. I need to make two objects for every "solid" curve I want - one for the curve spline, one for the shape to loft. I just want to click the "renderable" box! I might see if I can…

Not only for giving me the lift up there from bellingham. But keeping a cool head after we encountered some major car problems trying to get back. I hope…
Shotgun, You've done some really good work here. Honestly, the most I could suggest to round off your 2d portfolio is maybe a couple things. 1) Show something more than characters. Environment concept art is a good example of something that might help. 2) I'd also show texture sheets broken into their normal/color/specular…
I finished UV'ing the gun, and roughly posed him in the same stance to see what I need to work on alongside some anatomy tweaks. I think the eyes/eye shade needs some work and a bit more detail in the pants, they feel too bland.
@VinceOrcis I completely agree with the fulfillment part. I got into CGI years ago because of videogames but if I had to make the same choice nowadays I would never try to work in this industry, it's just setting oneself up for suffering and I feel nothing but discontent for everything that has surrounded it for the last 8…
