here is a 2 pass way you can try out: pass 1 - normal alpha blend pass 2 - invert the alpha channel and multiply by color, this should leave you with a soft edge from the texture, apply this additivly
@PyrZern Thanks I for the input the face is a little rounder compared to the concept and the ornaments on the clothing appear a bit soft like the clothing. Nice progress! @ClusterOne nice start I like your take on it can't wait to see more.
I was wondering if it might be possible to do a similar technique to soft particles (using depth difference to fade out) with alpha test instead so a rocks decal fades out to smaller pebbles at the edges. Would be killer on overdraw though.
Looking pretty cool. The only thing that stands out to me is that the bottom edges look too soft. Also in the middle left portion that panel looks like it would open yet there are no bolts on it, nor a handle to give the impression that it opens.
Yeah fix those soft bumpy normals and height. Not sure what else you want critique on, it's a matter of slider settings :/ Construct a scene and you might get more critique. Or construct some actual substances using this as ref.
Mostly brushes, for some of the smaller cracks I took a picture of a old wall, which i then made gray and added a soft light to, which i afterwards liquified and sharpened, and masked most of the parts away from. Thanks for the compliment!
Anyone found a nice stylus? I bought one of them with the soft rubber tip, it's absolutely impossible to use since it only supports tapping, not dragging. Heck, covering it with tinfoil does feel better but still, pretty much useless...
I just got these and I couldn't be more happy with them, insanely cheap, sound good, solid build, nice controls, but still can hear when someone is talking to me, so perfect for home ^.^ and so soft :D
Hi renderhjs, the soft is super great! can you add a shortcut for when you hold Shift the line snap to a angle 0, 45, 90, 135, 180, 225, 270 ? will be very helpful can draw straight lines :)
Seamless Workshop might work for you. I found the blending too soft and artificial, but hey it's free. http://www.redfieldplugins.com/filterSeamlessWorkshop.htm Seamless Texture Generator isn't free but it's affordable ($35 USD) and does a better job http://www.seamlesstexturegenerator.com/
