IMO it'd be cool to see the tri count doubled just to smooth everything out especially the feet and face. I feel like there could be some similarities to something like this http://www.freelargeimages.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/Pocoyo_images-7.jpg
Great work! no crist from me. Are you going to get this printed? Jouste: haha I'm one of the slackers ;) . But that's also because the files where all lost when I installed Windows 7 without backing up the files (ya, pretty stupid).
Study this mojette's stuff, he has a clear understanding of anatomy. http://th04.deviantart.net/fs71/PRE/f/2010/272/f/0/anatomy_study_update_by_mojette-d2zrjs2.jpg http://fc09.deviantart.net/fs13/f/2007/100/4/7/Anatomy_study_ZB3_by_mojette.jpg (NSFW)
Looking nice everyone! @Revel I should point out that my model has very little of the fancy details yours has. It consists of 7 subobjects and it is as simple as I dared make it while still keeping it recognisable. Also that GrabCad website, AWESOME! :)
At 7-8 years old while playing on deluxe paint on amiga. Then I though that it would be wiser to chose a "standard" job, but I've end up as 3d artist in pre-render production so I just made a step into video game O.o.
I can put you in touch with a few higher up lecturers if you want, just drop me a line. It's sad to see someone with your skills even contemplating getting out, but I was in the same place about 7 or 8 years ago.
Finished result: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/QkZWr And blockout phase of big project we're doing in teams of 7 :) . I'm responsible for enviroment art there. The big, white blocks are the monster (bigger one) fighting with the human ;) . It's based on buddhist tale "Prince of Five Weapons"
I was just searching for an answer for this yesterday, to no avail. I'm running 3ds Max 2011 64 bit on Windows 7 with a Nvidia Geforce GTX 560ti, and I always get popping in the viewport when rotating, no matter how complex the scene is. Very frustrating.
1.4. I'm on Win 7. The good news is, a PC restart appears to have solved the trouble. I hope it dosen't repeat, whatever it is I did. Takes a few minutes of out my flow. But as far as I have tested, it is fine once more.
I still use max 6 as my 3d application of choice. I totally skipped 7, and now i use 8 a little bit. I still jump back to 6 when I need to do useful things, like unwrapping.
